Showcase 2011
Our annual Showcase Performance is a chance for our students to show their family and friends what they have been working on during the Fall Session.

Students should arrive 30 minutes before their performance time. For example: Class A performs at 6:15 p.m. They should come at 5:45 p.m. All performances take place as close to regular class time as we could schedule.
Performances will be in Studio 2 and Studio 5. Find a place in either studio to watch, performers will come to you! Please refer to the performance schedule sheet for specific Theatre classes that will only be performed in the Theatre Stage.
- Classes will wear the following:
v Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Poms Classes - Solid black top and black dance pants, black jazz shoes
v Ballet Classes and Pre-Ballet and Tap - Black leotard and pink tights, can add skirt if wanted, pink ballet shoes
v Ballet/Jazz Combo - Black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes for ballet, can wear skirt if wanted. Add black pants and black jazz shoes for Jazz
v Hip Hop and Break Classes - Solid black top and blue jeans, tennis shoes
v Theatre/Voice - Solid black top and bottom
v Please wear something you already have at home or can borrow. Please do not feel you need to go buy anything new for this performance!
Performances are in lieu of regular classes. Turns and Progressions and Stretch and Strength classes are cancelled this week and can be made up the week before or after Showcase.

Melody is from Daly City, CA and started dancing at the age of 5. She attended the School of the Arts where she trained in classical and contemporary ballet, modern jazz blues and Afro-Haitian. She also received extensive training in lyrical, jazz and modern as a member of The Dance Company of San Franciscounder the direction of ChrisJacobsen. Melody moved to L.A.to pursue her dance dreams in 2003. Some of her credits include Sonya Tayeh's "The Root of Me" and "Battles", Mark Meismer's company, Evolution, Justin Giles' company, Soul Escape, Storm Lee, Jerry Reid, Co co Lee Benefit Concert, Jackie Chan and Superstars in Concert, TV Guide Channel, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Tahitian Noni Juice, San Francisco AIDS Benefit, Nappytabs, Capezio, American Idol Gives Back, American Idol Finale and The Emmy's. Melody was the top female dancer on season one of the FOX hit television show, "So You Think You Can Dance". She has since traveled to the Philippines, the Turks and Caicos Islands of the Caribbean, Canada, Singapore, and Ecuador as a performer and guest artist. She is currently on staff with SHOCK the Intensive and is a guest instructor for Adrenaline Dance Convention.
