What is LA Underground?

We are excited to introduce LA Underground, a new program designed to bring some of the best choreographers from around the world directly into our studio.
LA Underground will consist of masterclasses led by industry-leading choreographers, giving our dancers the opportunity to learn from a wide range of styles, techniques, and creative voices. These classes are designed to challenge, inspire, and expose dancers to the level of training happening at the highest levels of the dance world.

All LA Underground classes will be open to dancers of all ages, creating an environment where everyone has access to these unique learning experiences.
This program is about expanding opportunities, pushing growth, and giving our dancers access to training that goes beyond the everyday classroom. It is also a chance for dancers to be seen, to build connections, and to experience different teaching styles that can elevate their performance and artistry.

Tommy Gryzch

is a dancer and multidisciplinary artist from Colorado who is currently attaining a BFA in dance at NYU Tisch. His main focus is on contemporary dance, exploring postmodern ideals that blur the line between art and everyday life. He aims for ephemera for dance to remain as an abstract form that relies on intrinsic reactions and communal interaction. At the end of the day, he wants dance to be just that: dance.
